I saw a quote the other day that helped refocus and shift my perspective. Too quickly I can allow the cares and concerns of this world overwhelm me; not just the difficulties, good things can overwhelm as well.
“When we take our first steps on the ground of the New Earth, we will realize that never again will that soil be broken and used for a grave.”
What a beautiful reminder for those who are in Christ. No matter how wonderful or how terrible or broken our life may seem right now, It’s just temporary; extremely important!… but only a brief piece of eternity.
Romans 8:18-24 — For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
