In Christ my weaknesses, struggles, failures, and insecurities don’t define me; troubles and circumstances do not determine my destiny. They may overwhelm ME, at times even overcome ME, but they cannot and will NOT overcome Christ. He is the One who controls all things. He determines my destiny. He is why I have peace in the midst of it all! Jesus is our peace.
This is only part of the grace He came to give us. The beauty of the gospel is that this gift is freely offered to all who would trust in Him.
John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
Romans 8:38-39 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
