Our worth is not defined by our possessions, our accomplishments, our strengths, or even our weaknesses or failures. Our worth is not defined by what others think of us or how they treat us. Our worth is defined by our Creator. Our worth is found in the cross of Jesus Christ.
This doesn’t mean that life will always be easy and other people can never hurt us. Because sometimes it is and sometimes they do, whether they mean to or not. It means that we do not have to be defined by those things or base our life on them, give them power over us, or allow them to ruin our day or bring us down. It means we find our satisfaction, rest, joy, peace, acceptance in Him, what He says about us, and what He has done for us. He will never fail! His steadfast love is forever (psalm 136)!
