One of my favorite songs is a beautiful, encouraging song based on Isaiah 43. It’s such a great reminder that the Lord is with us, He will always be with us, He will never let us go, we belong to Him. He is the One in control… But He may not (at least not on our timeline) remove the trouble. The promise isn’t that He’ll remove us from the painful situation. The promise is that He will be with us IN the difficulty.
Isaiah 43:1-3 ESV But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, YOU ARE MINE.
WHEN you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and [WHEN you walk] through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; WHEN you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
